Researching historic maps is one of the best ways to locate sites to metal detect. I’ve made a video tutorial that will introduce you to two mapping websites that I frequently use and find to be extremely useful.
In the tutorial I use a parcel of land (as an example) located in Lanesborough, Massachusetts that once was the location of Berkshire Park. Berkshire Park was a trolley park that operated between 1902 – 1923 and drew thousands of visitors each year.
